International Kaulantak Siddha Vidya Peeth is the Gurukul passing on the ancient wisdom of the Himalayan Siddhas with state-of-the-art technology.
International Kaulantak Siddha Vidya Peeth, referred to as I.K.S.V.P, is the manifestation of the collective thirst for knowledge of the Himalayan Siddhas, of thousands of spiritual seekers from around the world. The thirst to receive this knowledge from the ‘Himalaya Putra’, the Son of the Himalaya, the great Himalayan MahaYogi, His Holiness, Kaulantak Nath, Mahasiddha Ishaputra.
There is a short story but a very important one, behind the establishment of International Kaulantak Siddha Vidya Peeth (I.K.S.V.P). When Mahayogi Satyendra Nath Ji, Whom, people know as Mahasiddha Ishaputra today, around the world, attained to the state of highest level of Samadhi, the word got around. Soon the National news channels began covering the stories of the great Yogi on the Prime TIme. The world began to discover about the rarest Mahayogi. He became world famous.
People wanted to know more about Him. They wanted to meet Him and they wanted to learn from Him. People were both- astonished and baffled at the same time, to see a Mahayogi who understood Yoga in its greatest depths in this dark Yuga and attained the highest level of Samadhi at such a young age. Now when the people got Darshan of the Enlightened Yogi on television, the longingness to see Him in person and receive knowledge from Him grew in people. But it was not so simple. It was complicated.
The problem was that at the time when He was the top talk on the national news channels, Mahasiddha Ishaputra was not available at a particular place or a center where one could hope to see Him, have the fortune of His Darshan and learn something from Him. There was no place known where one could find Him. Most of the time, He would be roaming around, living, doing Sadhna at different places in the upper Himalayas. It was almost impossible to catch a glance of Him. Learning from Him was a far-fetched dream for people during those days. On the Adesh (command) of the ‘Gurumandal’, Kaulantak Nath, His Holiness, Mahasiddha Ishaputra, would give Deeksha only once in a month at different places in the Himalayas.
During the initial years, starting from 2012 on, He bestowed the Deeksha of different ‘Vidyas’ (secret knowledge systems of the Himalayan Siddhas) at different mountains, near waterfalls, in the Himalayan gorges et al in different regions of Himalayas away from the civilization. Because till that time, the arrangement to give Deeksha at an appropriate place, was lagging. Looking at such conditions, the team of Kaulantak Peeth used to be often troubled and worried because hundreds of people expressed their desire to meet His Holiness and receive knowledge from Him. With no place, other than the nature itself, under the sky, or if lucky in some cave, His Holiness passed on the Deeksha, that too because the great Gurumandal asked Him so.
Inception of I.K.S.V.P
When the team of Kaulantak Peeth could take it no more, for the sake of the seekers worldwide, the team openly expressed their sadness in front of Kaulantak Peethadheeshwari, Ma PadmaPriya Nath. They expressed that seekers want to learn from Mahasiddha Ishaputra, but His Holiness is not available. Ma Padma Priya took it as her responsibility to do something about it. She then suggested the name International Kaulantak Siddha Vidya Peeth and said that this ‘Vidya Peeth’ must be established as soon as possible, solely for the purpose of gaining knowledge. She said that IKSVP would be the place where spiritual seekers can come to gain knowledge, and receive ‘Deeksha’ (the spiritual seed passed on by the Guru through His spiritual powers) of the different knowledge systems of the Siddha Dharma, know about the Himalayan Siddhas and to learn about Kaulantak Peeth’s Deva Parampara, Yoga, Tantra, Alchemy, Astrology, Music, Warfare, Dress, Food et al traditions. There were many secret knowledge systems that could only be revealed to the worthy ones at an appropriate place, at the centre of learning that is directly connected to Kaulantak Peeth.
It was then that Ma PadmaPriya Nath Ji laid the foundation and established the International Kaulantak Siddha Vidya Peeth. The sole objective to establish this ‘Vidya Peeth’ is to bestow higher knowledge of the Himalayan Siddha Tradition to the seekers genuinely interested in Siddha Dharm. The aim is to spread the knowledge that originated in the land of Bharatvarsha, in the Himalayan region as the Himalayan Siddha tradition, around the world.
Since Kaulantak Peeth is an utterly secretive Peeth, that do not choose to share its secret knowledge system further to the common world, and runs according to the strict protocols of its tradition, therefore Acharyas who are integral part of Siddha Dharm and are connected to Kaulantak Peeth, are invited to IKSVP, to give the knowledge of the Himalayan Siddhas to the seekers interested. Most of the Acharyas of IKSVP are volunteers and do not draw salary of any kind, except the minimal Dakshina (donation) as per the protocols of the Himalayan Siddhas. These Acharyas come as the guest of IKSVP and teach the seekers who come to gain knowledge. None of the Acharyas are permanent in IKSVP. Only the Acharyas, who have lived under the direct supervision and grace of His Holiness, Mahasiddha Ishaputra, teach about different knowledge systems of the Siddha Dharma further in IKSVP. While only the ones who are interested in Himalayan Siddha Tradition are allowed to apply in IKSVP.
Three Other Reasons for IKSVP
There were three other reasons behind establishing International Kaulantak Siddha Vidya Peeth:
- Imparting knowledge of the Himalayan Siddhas to the Elderly & Women Seekers
Only the Yogya (the worthy) Bhairav-Bhairavi lived with Mahasiddha Ishaputra and learnt directly from Him in the Himalayas. Only the ones who could follow the strict discipline, live in the extreme conditions in the Himalayas and could follow the protocols of the Siddha Dharm lived and learnt under His Holiness.
But the ones who are in their old age, who are incapable due to age to live in the extreme living conditions of the Himalayas, where it is sometimes extremely cold, too harsh a sunlight, extreme rain, and sometimes going without shower for days where the facility to take bath are not available many times. To live in such conditions is not easy.
Women Spiritual Seekers
The female seekers, who can not live for long like this, away from their Grihasta life, the ones who are at jobs, those who work in MNCs, are entrepreneurs themselves and many women and men like this who along with living the samsaric life want to understand Dharm and have deep spiritual longing. For such seekers, a modern centre was needed, where they could study the subject of Himalayan Siddha Tradition in depth, and had the freedom to come at the time according to their convenience and study the knowledge systems of Siddha Dharma, of their choosing.
2. Another reason was, many people came to Kaulantak Peeth solely because they were enchanted by His Holiness, to see the miracles He is capable of performing, to see His unlimited potential and the vast spiritual knowledge that He is the source of. People would be attracted and spell bounded by His Holiness easily and had the desire to transform into someone like His Holiness in just one day. Some of these people, managed to reach His Holiness and would request and even beg Him to give them Deeksha, to give them some mantra that could turn them into a great Yogi like His Holiness is. But it was not possible, because Mahasiddha Ishaputra sat at the Lotus Feet of the 38 Great Himalayan Siddhas and was trained by them together. That is how He became the greatest Yogi, the only Mahayogi living on the planet.
Such feat do not happen on planet earth. Here we see One master and 35 and more pupils gaining knowledge from that one master. But here it is strange, because there were 38 Gurus and only one main Pupil whom they trained.
For the ones who have the seed to know and learn spiritual knowledge, it is important to learn the basics to be able to understand the depths of spirituality. Besides, the Deeksha of the higher energy, of that particular Devi-Devata is not the only thing sufficient for a true seeker. He/ she must know about the origin and the philosophy of the Devi-Devata whose Sadhna they are interested in. They need to understand why they are doing a particular Sadhna for whose Deeksha they applied for.
To teach the basics, to make the beginner spiritual seeker understand about why they are learning a particular knowledge system, International Kaulantak Siddha Vidya Peeth was established.
3. Nowadays, the Government has started controlling the ancient Vidya of Yoga and have started issuing certifications sealed by the Government. They have started churning out Yoga teachers. Due to which the essence of Yoga is almost extinct now. The Government is spreading its clutches to gain control over Tantric sciences, Astrology, controlling the Vedas, Puranas and Shastra. The Government has been trying to even exercise their authority about the ‘Deva Parampara’. The essence, the very soul of the Guru-Shishya parampara is lost somewhere.
Now people have started accepting and applying for these Government issued certificates of Yoga which are based on a few hours, few days of Yoga sessions completed. Consequently, these so-called Yogis do not understand the subject deeply. They are clueless about the deeper aspects of the Yoga Vidya along with being oblivious to its pros, cons, philosophy from Theism and Atheism point of view, the Karmakand of the same and the opinions of the top Himalayan Siddhas from Yoga Parampara of the Siddha Dharm.
Therefore, a Siddha Vidya Peeth became a necessity where people could learn the true knowledge of the Yoga Vidya.
Therefore, Ma PadmaPriya Nath along with few other team-members of Kaulantak Peeth, founded IKSVP. Further, it was decided to spread its branches in India and throughout the world. The Siddha Universities, which are autonomous and not controlled by the Government, work according to its traditions and protocols of Siddha Dharma. For this, the first centre of IKSVP was established in Himachal Pradesh, near to the temple of Goddess Kurukulla. A plan to open another centre in Uttarakhand and in Satara, Maharashtra was agreed upon. Similarly, a plan was chalked out to open IKSVP centers in Assam and Orissa was agreed upon.
Once the places were chosen and finalized, for the IKSVP centres at all the above mentioned states in India, the first centre began to be constructed in Satara, Maharashtra. After three years of extreme hardships, the first centre was constructed brick by brick, and began its function. But after all these hardships, the problems came along. The issues of regionalism began to be raised by the local Marathi people. The issues with the non-Marathi speakers, they began to put extreme pressure to conduct the affairs in Marathi language. Due to such pressure and hindrances created by the locals of Satara, Maharashtra, after working day and night for a span of almost four years, it was decided to shut-down the IKSVP centre, Satara forever.
About the Courses in IKSVP
One must be aware that International Kaulantak Siddha Vidya Peeth provides the opportunity to learn the knowledge of the Himalayan Siddhas online and offline. The courses of IKSVP are all different from each other. Each one is on the particular knowledge system of the Himalayan Siddha Tradition. The duration of the courses might vary from one day, to 2-3 days, a week, a month, a complete year, more than one year, to five years on different subjects of Siddha Dharma.
The syllabus of the courses, involves the knowledge of the ancient manuscripts, in Tankari Language, the folk language of the Himalayan Siddhas- Kula Bhasha (language), in Deva Parampara, Yoga, Tantra traditions, in the traditions around the philosophy, the stories, the ‘Deshaj Parampara’ (folk traditions) and in the ‘Shabar’ traditions. The knowledge hidden in a particular knowledge system, from all these angles, point of view is studied and understood in depth along with the practical knowledge on how to do the Sadhana according to that particular knowledge system.
This is the reason that the education imparted by the Siddha Vidya Peeth, IKSVP is unique in the entire world.
Eligibility to Apply in IKSVP
For the basic courses, the only eligibility is the genuine thirst for the spiritual knowledge of the Himalayan Siddhas. But for the advance and other courses there are respective eligibility requirements.
Is there a need for the seeker to have the knowledge of the modern education system to apply in IKSVP? The answer is that it is not needed because the Himalayan Siddhas have their own system of imparting education under the Siddha Dharma Traditions. Based on this, when one applies for a particular course conducted by IKSVP, you attend classes under the same course and go ahead.
Another question is if IKSVP gives the certificate for the course completion. Answer is yes it does. Can one apply for jobs outside on the basis of certificate from IKSVP. The answer is No. Because the goal of the courses conducted in IKSVP is not for the seeker to get a job, but to impart the best and in-depth knowledge for one’s own spiritual development. Besides, knowledge is the greatest power. The one who has knowledge is capable of doing anything.
International Kaulantak Siddha Vidya Peeth is truly a unique gift for the present world founded by Ma PadmaPriya Nath Ji.
